Glamorous, girly shoes are the way forward this fall, but if Sarah Jessica Parker can injure herself running in high heels, how can we try to put ourselves in her shoes?

Early November fashion news in London has seen celebrities such as Cherie Blair and Elizabeth Taylor donating their shoes for a charity auction called Breast Cancer Care. Now Geri Halliwell is trading in her Jimmy Choos due to swollen ankles, so you have a chance to bid on her lovely size 3s. The fact that the lovely, glamorous Kylie Minogue, a huge fan of Manolo Blahniks, is fighting her own breast cancer battle, makes this auction all the more meaningful.

Fashion lovers in London can indulge their shoe fetishes at the Manolo Blahnik or Jimmy Choo stores, but bidding on this fashionable auction could also win them tickets for a London premier and party for In Her Shoes.

Right now, the emphasis in today's fashion is on the girly and the glamorous, and shoes are a vital part of it. However, today's fashion should also be about awareness.
