Women adore following the last trends fashion, don't we? (I guess men too, but naturally they wouldn't accept it).
As a result of this behavior a lot of money is moving around the world since long time ago and, of course, we, the consumers, and our choices are the roots of this movement.
In order to feel and look healthy and elegant, for years we have been obsessed with what's good to put into our bodies. Recently, little by little we are beginning to reconsider what's good to cover or to put on our bodies too.
Fortunately in today's current society there is growing emphasis stressed upon making the correct environmental and ethical decisions in all aspects of our life including a clear trend towards environmentally-friendly and organic products, in relation with what we wear, fashion may be a conscious decision.
We can take one of the most eco-friendly (and actually trendy fashionable) steps creating an organic wardrobe, dressing stylish as well as adopting one of the fashion's hottest trends, which has shown it can be a very sustainable one.
Organic agricultural methods are internationally regulated and legally enforced by many nations. We know now that they help minimizing our exposure to toxins like pesticides and insecticides, and we also know that organic farming uses 50 percent less energy than conventional farming.
Nowadays an organic fiber industry is rapidly developing and we can choose among a lot of natural, organic fibers, cultivated eco-friendly, without the use of eco-damaging fertilizer or pesticides, and in order to obtain a whole satisfying goal in our eco-friendly objectives we can choose natural and organic dyeing too.
By one side we have natural yarns we can buy in the same color that the fiber was when it was growing in the ground or on an animal (like wool). These are known as naturally colored yarns, they don't need to be dyed. But for sure we want to bring different colors to our wardrobe. We can do it eco-friendly, always considering that generally naturally dyed yarns have a softer look and lighter colors than their chemically dyed counterparts.
To color our clothing not only with naturally colored yarns we may choose natural dyes and traditional processes to produce a colored yarn in colors that often can't be found in the natural fibers.
