I'm a big fan of the book Memoirs of a Geisha but, like most women, I wouldn't want to be one! I would wear Geisha-inspired fashion, though. Japanese prints are one of the main fashion looks this season, and they're a fun way to for girls to be girls. Expect stunning wraps, dresses and kimonos in Japanese prints, along with belts, bags, footwear and jewelry. Female fashion this season is all about femininity, but don't lose your independence and individuality. You'll need it for your fashion career.

The Dress - The Other Must-Have for a Fashion Career

Roland Mouret may have quit his own label last year, but his galaxy dress has put his personal fashion career and reputation on a whole new level, helping to inspire the pencil skirts that will be everywhere this season. Many other designers are staking their fashion careers on dresses this season. Today's fashions range from short shift dresses from Louis Vuitton to floral and chiffon from Alberta Ferretti and Anna Sui. If you're a boy reading this article, don't despair. If your fashion career is anything like Roberto Cavalli's, you'll be as happy designing for women as men, with plenty of kimonos for all!
