Following up on our last post, the Council of Fashion Designers of America held their star-studded awards show last night in New York (at fashion central, aka the NY Public Library). Sean "don't call me Puffy" Combs won the Men's Designer of the Year award, while Caroline Herrera won for Women's Designer of the Year. Zac Posen took home the Perry Ellis Young Designer Award. Donna Karan received a lifetime achievement award and Sarah Jessica Parker was honored with a "fashion icon tribute".

The NY Times write-up of the event doesn't provide many juicy quotes, or even much of a description of what people wore. (Beyonce wore a lemon-yellow dress designed by her mom; Sarah Jessica Parker wore a tulle dress by old Hollywood designer, Howard Greene.) But I guess we little people will just have to take what we can get.
