re a relatively recent phenomenon in the fashion business. But how hard could it be, really, to tell a celebrity what to wear? Are these the cushiest jobs in the fashion business? Not really. It takes more than just great taste to be a fashion stylist. These fashion stylists are some of the busiest people in the fashion marketing and design business.

Rachel Zoe
Zoe's clients have included paparazzi favorites Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, and Nicole Richie. Her fee is at least $6,000 a day, but for the high-profile clients she serves, it's a small price to pay to not be ripped to shreds in the tabloids for one bad outfit. A self-described "workaholic" when she's not styling clients, she designs handbags, consults on ad campaigns, and performs numerous consulting duties for companies like the Gap.

Phillip Bloch
Bloch counts John Travolta and Salma Hayek among his most important clients. He attended fashion design school and got his start on the catwalk, modeling for fashion powerhouses like Versace and Yves Saint Laurent. Aside from his fashion stylist duties, he's an author, fashion critic, and fashion correspondent for the E! Channel and Entertainment Tonight.

L'Wren Scott
Scott has dressed Nicole Kidman, Sharon Stone, and Sarah Jessica Parker. A former model, she has embarked on designing her own fashion line. She was the costume designer for Ellen Barkyn in Ocean's 13, and has consulted on several other movies. She has acted as fashion shoot stylist for some of the most renowned photographers in the fashion business, including Herb Ritts and Helmut Newton. Scott was the first ever style director for the Academy Awards in 2000.

Andrea Lieberman
Lieberman has dressed such fashion forward celebrities as Faith Hill, Gwen Stefani, and Mary J. Blige. She's a consultant for Stefani's L.A.M.B. fashion line, and a jewelry designer for Mouawad. She graduated from a prestigious design school.

Sound glamorous? Of course. But there's a lot of hard work involved as well. A fashion marketing and design degree from design school can give you the education and confidence you need to tell celebrities what to wear.
