My home town of Liverpool is famous for many reasons; it is to be UK's Capital of Culture in 2008 and is the birthplace of the Beatles. Now, I am delighted to announce that the winner of the UK's Project Catwalk -- shown in March, was Kirsty Doyle from Liverpool. In her third year at fashion design school in Liverpool, consistently hard-working and original, let's hope Kirsty makes the most of her fashion career. Kirsty's Burgeoning Fashion Career
Even before this enormous boost, Kirsty had already started her fashion career by launching her own label, Rapscallion, with a school friend. Winning Project Catwalk really takes her fashion career to the next level; prizes include £20,000, a spread in Elle Magazine and, best of all, mentorship with the design team at Topshop -- THE high street fashion retailer in the UK. There is No Substitute For Fashion Design SchoolRight now, however, in her final year at Fashion Design School, Kirsty needs to concentrate on preparing for graduation. But then hard work has never been a problem for Kirsty. It is this can-do attitude, and a quality fashion design school, that you need for a successful fashion career.Sources About the Author Fran Walker is a freelance writer, editor, and researcher specializing in educational, health, safety, and domestic issues.
