All three finalists for the UK's Project Catwalk have attended fashion design school. Matt is in his first year, Kirsty her final year and Debbie is an experienced fashion design school graduate now working in dress making and pattern cutting.

The Art Institute
At 26, Debbie is the oldest of the trio. Like many other graduates of fashion design school, she now works cutting and sewing dress making patterns. This is a respectable fashion career, but Debbie dreams of more and has the talent to get it. During the series, one of Debbie's fashion designs was accepted and marketed by Burberry. Using her experience in dress making and patterns, Debbie was also the only finalist to actually cut and make all twelve of her fashion designs.

Matt -- in His First Year at Fashion Design School

At only 20, Matt is the youngest contestant. Accused by some of being just a pretty face, he has come close to eviction from the catwalk on several occasions. However, he also won more challenges than anyone else and had a design accepted by Burberry. Under-confident but undoubtedly talented, he just needs some more experience before he starts his fashion career.

Kirsty -- Finalist at Fashion Design School and Starting Her Fashion Career

Kirsty juggled Project Catwalk during her second year at fashion design school in Liverpool, making extra money by teaching piano in her spare time. Any other time she has is devoted to starting her own fashion career with her own label, Rapscallion. More experienced in dress making and pattern cutting than Matt, she nevertheless chose to use her budget hiring pattern cutters of her own. Her last design was only finished the morning of the final. Phew!
