As a fashion devotee, you'll want to see these films at least once. They either contain actors or public figures with an impeccable sense of style or share some insights on an otherwise insular business.

Anything with Audrey Hepburn

The Art Institute
Arguably one of the most fashionable women to hit the big screen, Audrey Hepburn continues to hold one of the most esteemed places in on-screen fashion. Her Givenchy gowns and little black dresses in Breakfast at Tiffany's are classic as are her impeccably polite voice and elegant gait. See Hepburn in other classics such as Charade, Roman Holiday, and Sabrina.

Fashion Industry Films

The fashion business has a reputation for being highly insular. However, you can get a better sense of what happens during shows by watching the Fashion DVD series, which features runway models across fashion capitals wearing the latest fashions by leading high-fashion and couture designers.

Prét-á-Porter is a Robert Altman film that takes a more light hearted look at the fashion business. While this film won't provide any keen insights into the fashion biz, it will likely make you laugh and will show you some fashionable actors such as Sophia Loren, Marcello Mastroianni, and Lauren Bacall.

Fashionable Movies

Some films are just too stylish not to mention, though they may have nothing to do with designers, models, or the fashion business. One such film is American Gigolo with Richard Gere and Lauren Hutton. While Gere's threads are a bit dated, Hutton's pencil thin pants, classic white shirts, impeccable tan, and thin body prove just as stylish today as they did during the film's release in 1980.

Fashionable People

A list of fashion-related films would not be complete without the classic A&E Jacqueline Kennedy Onasis film biography. One of the most fashionable women in political life, Jackie remains an American fashion icon.
