There are many more styles and jobs today in maternity fashion than ten years ago. Singer Gwen Stefani, newly pregnant, says there aren't enough fashions for babies, and intends to design her own. Today's biggest fashion and celebrity news, however, must be Angelina Jolie's pregnancy. Can ordinary moms expect more choice in maternity and baby wear as a result?

With the amount of coverage given to celebrity moms and moms to be, you would think they invented pregnancy. Griping aside, few would deny today that more fashions are available for moms to be. Designer maternity boutiques are not for everyone, but there has been an increase in sales of today's maternity fashions in more affordable stores as well. This is great news for all moms to be who are keen to retain a sense of style, rather than a smock, and still have money left over for baby accoutrements.

Will Gwen Stefani's Baby Designs Lead to More Jobs in Fashion?

Gwen Stefani believes that the same cannot be said for today's baby fashions. While no one can doubt Gwen's style, there is no shortage today of trendy baby gear - just look at some of the photos of Angelina Jolie and her eldest adopted child. However, with the cult of baby celebrity, jobs in baby fashions are set to rise. If you are interested in jobs in fashion for babies, remember that not everyone wants or can afford to clothe their babies in designer gear. Nor do they see their child as a fashion accessory. Of course I've had my babies now, so maybe I'm just jealous.
