As I write today's fashion column, we have just had World Aids Day - a sobering reminder that there won't be a happy Christmas for everyone. On December 1st, a red ribbon was the day's must-have accessory the world over. In London, Top Shop's flagship Oxford Street Store was the place to be. Donating 10% of the day's profits to the Terence Higgins Trust, they showed that fashion, and fashion related jobs, can be generous as well as fabulous. As their brand name continues to grow and grow, TopShop could soon be providing fashion related jobs the world over.

Today, high street fashions no longer seem shabby. Started in the UK in the 1960s, TopShop has transformed itself from the low-end high street retailer of my teenage years (the 1980's) into a respectable brand and high street fashion leader. It has 290 stores in the UK, is rapidly spreading worldwide, and had its own fashion show at this year's London fashion week. It's obvious that TopShop is an excellent launch-pad for a whole range of fashion-related jobs.

Fashion Related Jobs at TopShop

Like most of today's fashion retailers, not all fashion-related jobs at TopShop require fashion qualifications. Fashion related retail jobs can really take you places with proper development and support. Fashion merchandising is a hot topic at this hottest of stores, and you can enter this area via a fashion or business degree. With their low-priced, high fashion and generous ideals, high street stores like TopShop are now rightly getting the credit they deserve. Whatever fashion related jobs you decide upon, we hope you do too.
