In a recent article it was announced that Mattel's Barbie is going to be getting a new boyfriend named Blaine. This article is hilarious because of how serious collectors are taking this change. They are concerned that the "break-up" of Barbie and Ken will send a bad message for children and are even questioning the sexuality of Ken.

That Ken doll became extremely popular in the gay community."
I think this is extremely funny that these adults are getting so involved in a child's toy. I grew up playing with Barbie dolls and in my play I would make Ken Barbie's boyfriend, father, neighbor or friend. Little girls change the characters around all of the time. Mattel is probably just looking for a new way to market these dolls. Anyone who has ever played with Barbie dolls should see this article. It is really amusing.
