Beyonce: Fashion Designer?

Following in the footsteps of J. Lo, P. Diddy, and a host of other celebrities, Beyonce Knowles announced the creation of her own fashion line this week. Wait -- make that her and her mother's fashion line:

ote>"My mother and I share a love of fashion and style, and with this brand we're going to be able to share our vision of what is truly beautiful," Beyoncé said. "Our line will consist of fashions that I enjoy wearing, and I want them to be appealing to my fans as well."
Apparently they'll start with a sportswear line, then probably move on to shoes and accessories, and then, ideally, made-to-order evening gowns. Gotta give her credit for being ambitious. Though I wonder what'll happen when people try on the clothes expecting to look like Beyonce and end up looking like her mom. |
